From Concept to Launch: Turning a 300-page report into an easily digestible dashboard
Berlin-based start-up, aimed at improving the health and well-being of employees in mid-sized German companies. They help their clients analyse health and wellbeing risks and connect them to solution providers.
Validate the start-up’s idea for the service they wanted to provide and its demand. Transform their service into a client-facing dashboard, from full vision to MVP, enabling DearEmployee to streamline operations, launch and scale their business.
- MVP was launched later that year (2017)
- Company has grown from three founders to 15+ staff
- Now supporting over 300 companies enhancing their employee wellbeing
User Interviews to understand client needs and validate the service concept
Dashboard creation and iteration, through both individual and co-creation sessions with clients. These are some key challenges and questions explored:
How to turn an immense and detailed survey report into something digestible and actionable for HR staff?
Which parameters and visualizations communicate outcomes and urgency effectively?
How can clients be guided to next steps and connected to the most relevant service providers?
User Testing to validate design decisions and refine usability
Delivered wireframes for the initial MVP dashboard, providing a clear foundation for rapid development and targeting the client’s key needs.
Developed a scalable feature roadmap to guide future product growth.
Handed off final assets to the UI design team, enabling efficient implementation and a consistent user experience.
In 2017, DearEmployee was a three-person start-up, with one demo-client, which they handeled manually. They launched the designed MVP a few months post our collaboration and have grown ever since.
Today, they are a 15+ person team, supporting 300+ companies in analysing health and wellbeing challenges within the company and connecting them to suitable solutions.
It was a fast-paced, hands-on collaboration - a true guerrilla-style project. We learned to make things happen quickly and creatively, even with limited time and resources. A way of working I enjoy, as it cuts out the fluff and focuses on real impact.
